Creative, thrifty crafting. Both traditional & modern

Free Craft 'n' Chat Workshops

Creative Self Care

Do you enjoying knitting, crochet, cross stitch, embroidery, or maybe you enjoy painting or card making? Have you got a project that you started weeks, months, or maybe even years ago (for one of  our members it was 28 years, can you beat that?) ?

Then Craft and Chat Group could be for you. During this weekly get together people fetch their own projects to work on. We do ask that you don’t fetch any electrical equipment. We can provide assistance if you get stuck, whilst trying to read a pattern or drop a stitch for example or just simply needing inspiration

The kettle is always on and the biscuit barrel is always full.

Craft and Chat is free and you don’t have to commit to come every week, you just let us know which week you can make it, so we can make sure we have enough room for everyone. It takes place everyday except Sunday 12-2pm in our craftroom based at Flourish Enterprises, Balby.

a lovely way to spend a few hours

I joined the Craft and Chat group after attending the beginners crochet course also run by Dadesley Crafting. I’m was fairly new to the area and was looking for a course/group to join and am so glad that I plucked up the courage to go to the crochet course and then join the Craft and Chat group. The Craft and Chat group is great as it allows you to bring and work on your own yarn projects in a relaxing, positive environment.

You are always made to feel very welcome regardless of your background or crafting abilities. Michelle, Kate and Jacqui are very encouraging of your craft projects and help and advice is available when you want or need it.

I was also gently persuaded to enter one of my crochet projects in to the Tickhill Horticultural Show and was surprised but delighted to win 3rd prize……I can honestly say that I would have never done anything like this without going to the Craft and Chat group. The Craft and Chat group is a lovely way to spend a few hours each week with a friendly group of people.
