FAQs
All our workshops are for anyone over the age of 18. We have no upper age limit.
All our workshops are aimed at the beginner. We offer full support during and after the workshop, to answer any questions you may have. The workshops are designed to go at your pace, so that you don’t feel rushed and there will be other people who are just like you, without experience trying something for the first time.
We do offer some follow-on courses, but this will be stated in the description. For example, to enjoy the crochet cardigan course, you will need to have completed the 4 week beginners crochet course.
The simple answer is YES. Please do come along even if you’ve tried the craft before, you can share your love of crafting with others in the group. That’s what crafting is about.
Yes, both our Balby and Tickhill sites are wheelchair friendly, even our shop is.
Yes. We call these our Personalised Craft Experience. You can book for up to 10 people to attend our craft room at Balby and choose a craft workshop of your choice. If you’re not sure what craft is best for your group, please speak with one of our team, who will be happy to help you decide from over 100 workshops that we offer.
A workshop is a one off 2-hour craft session. You attend, enjoy the craft and take what you have made home with you on the day.
A course can last between 4 – 6 weeks. You may not always take something home with you each week, as you may be working on a single project that will take 4-6 weeks to complete. You still keep what you have made, it just takes longer to make it.
If you’re worried about attending please ring and speak with Michelle, who will be happy to have a chat and make any arrangements that will make you feel more at ease. Including introducing you to one of our volunteers or walking into the craft room with you.
